Terms and Conditions
- Please read these terms carefully before accessing or using the Website or Services. Wantech will assume you have read and understood these terms should you continue to access or make use of the Website.

It is important to note the following:
- The terms “user“, “you” and “your” are used interchangeably in these Terms and refer to all persons accessing the Website or using the Services for any reason whatsoever. Accordingly, the terms “us”, “our” or “we” refers to Wantech Electronics or its possession.
- Not all terms are necessarily defined in order.
- These terms were last updated on 27 October 2025.
1. Introduction
1.1 Wantech Electronics (the “Company”, “we”, “us”) operates the website and provides services including product information, product purchasing from Wantech or authorised partners (“Products”), reseller programme information, and multimedia content (the “Services”).
1.2 These Terms govern your access to and use of the Website and Services. Certain Services (for example, purchases, reseller agreements or credit facilities) may require separate written agreements which will supplement and, where applicable, take precedence over these Terms.
1.3 Prices payable for Products (“Price”) will be displayed on the Website, quoted in an invoice, or otherwise stated in a specific Service agreement prior to charging you.
1.4 Resellers must register for a Profile to access reseller-only functionality. General website browsing and access to public information does not require a Profile.
1.5 We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing the revised Terms on the Website. Continued use of the Website after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
1.6 Unauthorised use of the Website may give rise to civil and/or criminal liability.
2. Relationship and Scope
2.1 Your use of the Website or Services does not create any fiduciary, advisory, agency or broker relationship between you and Wantech Electronics. You transact at your own risk and responsibility.
2.2 Wantech does not provide regulated financial, medical or legal advice as part of the Services. Where applicable consumer-facing protections apply (see clause 16 below). Government of South Africa
3. Registration and Profiles
3.1 To use reseller Services (including placing orders), you must register and maintain one Profile. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to update it when it changes.
3.2 Required information may include legal entity name, contact person, email address, phone number, VAT number (if applicable), and other business information requested in the reseller application.
3.3 You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
3.4 Wantech may suspend or terminate Profiles for breaches of these Terms or for fraudulent or suspicious activity.
4. The Services — Orders, Listings and Content
4.1 Product listings, descriptions and prices on the Website are provided for information. Orders are accepted only when Wantech confirms acceptance in writing (including email) or issues an invoice.
4.2 Wantech uses reasonable efforts to keep product information and stock levels accurate but does not guarantee availability. If a Product ordered is unavailable, we will notify you and refund any amount paid for that Product.
4.3 Multimedia content (blogs, articles) is provided for informational purposes “as-is” and Wantech disclaims liability for accuracy of third-party content. Users should verify technical specifications with product manufacturers.
5. Pricing, Payment and VAT
5.1 Prices exclude VAT, delivery charges and other taxes unless stated otherwise. VAT and other applicable charges will be shown on invoices. Wantech will comply with applicable VAT rules; vendors exceeding statutory thresholds must register for VAT. Check SARS guidance for registration thresholds and obligations. 5.2 Payment terms (including credit, COD, payment windows) will be stated on quotes or reseller agreements. Wantech may require payment or payment authorisation before dispatch.
6. Delivery and Risk
6.1 Delivery dates are estimates only. Wantech will use reasonable endeavours to meet estimated times but is not liable for delays beyond its control.
6.2 Risk in Products passes to you on signature of the delivery note by you or your authorised representative. You must inspect deliveries on receipt and notify Wantech promptly of visible shortages or damage.
6.3 If you arrange collection or third-party transport, you assume responsibility for packaging, insurance and any risks arising from that transport arrangement.
7. Returns, Repairs, Warranties and RMA
7.1 Returns are governed by our Returns / Refund & Cancellation Policy. No returns will be accepted without an authorised RMA (Return Material Authorisation) number obtained via the Website.
7.2 Manufacturer warranties apply to new Products where stated. Wantech’s sole obligation (where applicable) is repair, replacement or credit at our discretion. Wantech disclaims liability for loss of data and for Products modified, damaged, or serviced by unauthorised parties.
7.3 Additional handling or restock fees may apply for returns that do not meet the return conditions. Wantech may require original invoice copies for processing claims involving older Products.
8. User Responsibilities and Conduct
8.1 You warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your business.
8.2 You will not use the Website for unlawful purposes, infringe intellectual property, upload malicious content, or interfere with Website functionality.
8.3 You agree to comply with all applicable laws, including export controls, sanctions, and trade restrictions applicable to Products.
9. KYC, AML and Sanctions Screening
9.1 Wantech may require Know-Your-Customer (KYC) information and may screen transactions for anti-money-laundering (AML) or sanctions compliance. Required documentation may include identity documents, company registration documents, proof of physical address, bank details and tax/VAT documentation.
9.2 We reserve the right to restrict, delay or refuse transactions where KYC/AML checks are not satisfactorily completed.
10. Data Protection and Privacy
10.1 Wantech collects and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We will process personal data only for specified lawful purposes and implement reasonable security measures. For more information, see our Privacy Policy. Government of South Africa
10.2 By providing personal information you consent to its processing for the purposes of providing Services, order fulfilment, fraud prevention, marketing (where consented) and legal compliance.
11. Electronic Communications
11.1 Electronic communications, contracts and signatures are recognised under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA). Where ECTA requires specific information to be supplied or procedures to be followed, Wantech will comply. Government of South Africa
11.2 Emails or other automated notices sent by Wantech will be considered delivered when they enter systems designated by the recipient and can be retrieved.
12. Intellectual Property
12.1 All Website content, software, logos, designs and materials are the intellectual property of Wantech or its licensors. You may not copy, republish, adapt or distribute Website content without prior written consent.
12.2 Where you provide content to the Website (for example product listings or marketing material), you grant Wantech a non-exclusive licence to use that content on the Website and related marketing while your Profile is active.
13. Disclaimers, Liability and Indemnities
13.1 The Website and Services are provided “as-is”. Wantech disclaims implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13.2 To the extent permitted by law, Wantech’s liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to direct damages capped at the amount paid by you for the relevant transaction in the preceding 12 months. Wantech is not liable for indirect, special, consequential or punitive damages.
13.3 You indemnify Wantech against claims, losses or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, unlawful acts, or misuse of the Website.
14. Advertising and Third-party Links
14.1 The Website may contain third-party links and advertising. Wantech does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of third-party content and is not liable for third-party offerings.
15. Compliance with Consumer Law
15.1 Wantech acknowledges that certain transactions may attract protections under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). Where the CPA applies, consumers’ statutory rights (including rights relating to fair marketing, disclosure and quality) will be respected. Wholesale transactions between registered businesses (B2B) may not attract the same CPA protections; users should check the CPA and, where uncertain, seek legal advice. Government of South Africa
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
16.2 Parties consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrates’ Court where applicable, but Wantech may elect to institute proceedings in any competent court.
16.3 Parties agree not to publicise disputes on social media in a manner likely to cause reputational damage pending resolution.
17. Termination
17.1 Wantech may suspend or terminate your access for breaches of these Terms, or for any other reasonable business reason, and will notify you where practicable.
17.2 On termination, outstanding obligations (including payment) remain payable and any licences granted to you will end.

18.2 Notices sent by prepaid registered post, hand delivery or email are deemed received in accordance with accepted legal standards.
19. Miscellaneous
19.1 If any clause is invalid or unenforceable it will be severed and the remainder will continue in force.
19.2 These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and Wantech regarding the Website and Services, save where superseded by separate written reseller or Service agreements.
